Milk Collection and Quality Testing Trainer (2 Positions)

Job Description

We are looking for two practical, field-oriented trainers to lead a short-term, 10-day intensive program for dairy farmers and Milk Collection Center (MCC) operators. You will provide hands-on coaching on proper milk handling and basic quality testing to improve safety and product standards. This is a project-based role requiring someone who can communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences in rural settings.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Dairy Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, Food Science, or a related field.
• Practical experience in milk collection, handling, or quality testing.
• Previous experience in training or extension work with farmers or cooperatives.
• Willingness to work in rural/field settings.
• Knowledge of local dairy practices is an advantage.
• Availability: Must be available for 10 consecutive working days.

Responsibilities

• Train farmers and MCC operators on hygienic milk collection and handling practices.
• Demonstrate the correct use of testing equipment (lactometer, alcohol test, thermometer, fat testing tools).
• Conduct training on critical quality tests: density, temperature, acidity, fat content, and adulteration detection.
• Provide on-site coaching and practical demonstrations directly at farms and MCCs.
• Evaluate the participants' proficiency in using testing tools by the end of the assignment.
